Permanent Makeup Course – 90 Hours
The Permanent Cosmetics/Tattoo Licensing Program covers the 90 hours of course work and practical requirements necessary for passing the Virginia State Board examination that may allow you to obtain licensure and practice in Virginia or many other states. This program covers all fundamentals of the application of permanent cosmetics and topics covered on the Virginia State Board Licensing exam. Graduates of the Permanent Cosmetics/Tattoo program will receive a Permanent Cosmetics diploma, and be prepared to take the state board licensing exam.
DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of this program is to prepare individuals to prepare and apply permanent markings, color, and cosmetic products to the face and body for aesthetic or clinical purposes, to remove unwanted markings, and to function as licensed permanent makeup artists and tattooists. Includes instruction in client consultation, sterilization and sanitation, skin anatomy, diseases, and disorders, skin preparation and anesthetics, color theory, machine theory and operation, needle selection, applications such as eyebrows, eyeliners, lips, lipliners, beauty marks, and blemish/mark removal, after care, laws and regulations, and business practices.
